What's the open door?

In church over the weekend I went for alter call. The pastor who prayed for me gave me an image. She said she sees and open door and I stand in front of it. She says I have always waited for the door to open before I step in (very true). But she says God wants to tell me that HE has stepped in through that door to be with me.

I don’t quite know what that means. I am SUPER glad that GOD IS WITH ME. But does that mean I don’t have to go anywhere now? Or that I can go anywhere at all?

I am mindful that the right question is not “What is God’s will for my life?” but “What is God’s will?”
