Snowskin mooncake makes creative accountability
Nav: Nicole
Nic: What?
Nav: Do you like mooncakes?
Nic: Yea…
Nav: Have you ever had the mooncake with the white skin with Bailey’s inside?
Nic: No...
Nav: Oooh... I tell you; it is the BEST ever! I love that mooncake. Last year I had one each day.
Nic: Nav, that’s 1000 calories for each of the small mooncakes.
Nav: [shakes his head as he reminisces the pleasure]. I tell you…
Nav doesn't remember it, but he has told me about this mooncake before about a whole month ago.
Nav: Do you want to go and buy mooncake?
Nic: Now?
Nav: [Puppy face look]
Nic: OK, I’ll go with you…
We went downstairs. Singapore going towards Mid-Autumn festival is awesome. All the hotels set up their stalls at Raffles Place/ Caltex House and tout their signature mooncakes.
Nav tried one with pandan and red bean filling. Screwed up his face. I tried one with ginseng and kei-ji… not bad.
We head towards…….The Raffles!! I love snowskin mooncakes too! They are so pretty and smooth and soft. And look just like that too. In pinks, whites, ivories and soft greens.
Nav had to have the one with dark choc and Bailey’s filling, and I opted for white choc with champagne.
I told him it makes more sense for us to buy one whole box instead of two individual ones but he said he would eat it all! That means 8,000 calories in a day, YIKES!
And if we leave it in the office, the resident food burglar will get it (yes we have one and we don’t know who it is).
Back in the office.
Nav: Ooohmmmm……. [looked like being in heaven]
Envious colleagues passed by.
Now, we need to creatively account for that 0.5 hours in our timesheet.
